Pleasanton Rotary Awards Scholarships

$31,800 of college scholarships were awarded to 11 students from the 3 Pleasanton High Schools by the Rotary Club of Pleasanton. Photo shows Warren Annis “Service Above Self” Memorial Scholarship recipient from Village High School, Colin FitzMaurice, Rotarian Larry Annis, and Colin’s father, Mr. FitzMaurice. Recipients from Amador High School include Michelle Diaz, recipient of the Harry Plett Memorial Scholarship, Jeanette Cardenas, Lauren Inthavong, Fatima Salazar, Nicole Sanchez-Frias, Luis Vizueth, Wasone McIntyre and Araceli Martinez. Bradley Russo, recipient of the Roger Dabney Memorial Scholarship, and Cameron Bowers were recipients from Foothill High School. Scholarships are the highest priority for the Rotary Club of Pleasanton. The $31,800 was raised through the 2017 Rotary Father’s Day Run. This year’s Father’s Day Run will be held on Father’s Day, June 17.
